Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Tensions and stress is high across the board.

Will there be any layoffs before Christmas?
Will we stop losing MD’s that leave for other companies?
Will there be negative repercussions from the VOE if you truly speak your mind?
Will there be any cost of living raise? bonus’s?
Can the stock price sustain and better yet rise?

Will the latam lawsuits end:

All these things weigh on the mind of the employees. We are all on the edge of our seat wondering as to how things may turn out.

Some positions in citi is not fixed 40 hours a week. Most average 50-60 hours a week just by the nature of the job. Software developers work 5-6 days a week and have late meetings with overseas team. Even if 4 day work week, which will be great, there will still be more than 8 hours a day. I would truly prefer a 4 day work week and crunch it all out

Citi could offer employees a 4 day work week and pay them less (80%). So employees would have the option to choose 5 days work week at 100% pay or 4 days work week at 80% pay. Citi would save money and employees would have more options. Win win.

I heard working in the office has nothing to do with layoffs.

Hearing that there will be targeted layoff of people not coming in to the office in November. After that the next group will be the low performers In February. Lots of internal hiring still though.
