Thread regarding Optum layoffs

We need to unionize

I know California has a union but I do not see many for non clinicians for this company which is desperately needed to hold Witty and the “ shareholders” accountable. I’m tired of 5 to 50 cent raises and the absolute disregard they have for their US employees. Any union info please share for others

Pretty obvious the poster is clueless about unions. They literally get laid off more often than others. All a union would do is take our money and trap us whether they’re good or not. Zero accountability.

I see UHG apologist in some of these post saying to give it a rest. The more noise we make the more it’ll force that companies hand and shareholders will pull out. They do not care about the health of their members or their employees, they make record breaking profits year after year and need to keep jobs in the US no more offshoring for cheap labor! Check your states union laws and join!

Comrades unite! Strength through joy! From Each According To Their Abilities, To Each According To Their Needs!

Give it a rest. That nonsense will just accelerate the offshoring.

Agreed, some Optum physicians already did, they saw the handwriting in the wall.

All PA, Np, RNs, and medical leave unions they can join.

We need to move forward, Kaiser unions show recently what positive things happen
