We are all trained to be in constant fear for ourselves and our livelihoods. We should all stop and think for a second about the fact that we all are in the same boat and should support each other. Being laid off is not just the matter of losing a paycheck. It affects our emotional state, deeply impacts our identity and undermines confidence. The way how companies treat employees these days, it makes you feel worthless, useless and like just another disposable item. It is all wrong, and we should help each other dispel such emotions and fears. Believe in yourself, and don’t take companies seriously. Anybody or anything that treats human beings the way companies do, do not take themselves seriously either.

If you wanted to send a clear message to leadership everyone would boycott the survey. Those surveys are reported to the board and if you don’t pass NCQA that would be a really big issue. But everyone helps them so they continue to do whatever they want. If they had zero participation than they would actually have to address the elephants in the room and not just come up with some stupid solution that no one can remember by the end of the week. This is how dishonest they can be, NCQA changed the rule for TAT to 3 days instead of 24 hours for 2025. NCQA did that. UHG is putting out a learnsource that actually says you told us and we listened. We extended the turn around time for clinical review to 3 days. They are taking credit and presenting this as they care. I nearly fell out of my chair.
so true thank you for that post. We are losing our humanity
Talk with your congressman. No one wants to see the largest HC Company layoff employees a month before elections.
back in the 80's Execs did not get compensated with millions in stock, making them key shareholders
Well said. It wasn't always this way. In the late 1980's there was a shift to Shareholder-Supremacy. Philosophies with the word supremacy in them do not work out well for those not in the supreme class. i.e. employees. Where's the integrity.
I worked before the shift also and I can tell you work was fun. We used to laugh. Most will never know.
