r/overemployed lurker here. So most of my Reddit comrades thought holding down 4 jobs would be too much. MedSol was my J4 almost 2 years. FINALLY got fired 7 months to-the-day after the March firing massacre! Your severance is a joke. But I’ll take it. Remember, any company offering unlimited PTO pays $0 on termination. At least MSG paid cookies in severance and any 401K match is immediately safe-harbor vested.
I’d originally considered MSG as a possible replacement for J2 or J3 going in—fun group of ICs. But quickly realized leadership from the CTO on down to the line managers has (well “had”) to be the most inept, incompetent, I’d ever seen. Honestly. Never seen a more inept leadership team talk so much 🗑️ about each other behind their backs in meetings and teams. Be better. They have (well “had” since they’ve all now been thankfully fired) no clue about being a leader or running day-to-day operations. Anyway, I put MSG on ChatGPT autopilot, mouse-jiggler style, and collected 🏦 while focusing on my other gigs.
To the few good managers left, obviously GET OUT! But if you’re OE, soak up the 💰 while focusing on your real jobs. Or if you only have MSG, order a mouse jiggler on Amazon and start job hunting! Also, those who are left, you’re actually pretty good. Seriously. Especially given the situation you are in. Way, way better than all those “leaders” who deservedly got canned. And unlike the IC folks for whom many did a great job and worked hard.
So good job MSG on trimming the FAT.
Bad job on firing in March. You sc--wed the pooch there and thoroughly REKT what was left of employee morale. And thank you for almost 2 years. More importantly, you made my husband very happy paying off our student debt, the rest of our mortgage, plus a nice trip to Hawaii. I made sure to use the “unlimited” PTO generously.
Finally, good job MSG bringing on Rebecca to handle the firings. You still have (well had) way too many men who think a lap dance at Club Omaha is a valid capital expenditure. At least ask them to hire female leads on the offshore team and require over $5 per hour.
