Poland's Intel plant gets EU green light for $1.9 bln in state support

The European Commission has given Poland a green light to support an Intel (INTC.O), opens new tab chip plant with more than 7.4 billion zlotys ($1.91 billion) in state aid, deputy prime minister and digital affairs minister said on Friday.

I guess nobody looked at the map to see where Poland is. I'm mentioning this within the context of security concerns related to Taiwan-China growing uncertainties.

Wages are cheaper outside US. It’s economics. TSMC chips are cheaper manufactured in Taiwan. They will be found out when their Arizona fabs start up. Can’t figure why they picked AZ, state has water supply issues and they will have to compete for staff with Intel they also building in Dresden next to Global foundries so they complete for staff will only drive up wages

It's an ATM site, will work together with Ireland and Germany. Ultimately adv pack will be added. The site is big enough for 5 big units. Copy paste from another site. Last I heard was that it would be delayed.

Poland facility should work in conjunction with future fab in Germany. If the latter is suspended Poland plant is also questionable
