I give my all at any new job for the first year. If I don’t see returns, I scale back to doing the bare minimum, open up my options, then jump for the best one. This has always led to a sizable pay bump with a better title and minimal stress.
Been doing it for YEARS. Recommend you read HR's rules/offerings to maximize your return on investment (just like DW would do). Plenty of opportunities in the "perks."
