Great! However, stores are closing. Profitable store, that is. A little too late to organize a union. You think?

Unionizing would have been better when Big Lots stocks was at $50 a share rather than
$ .11 a share and in bankruptcy. There is no guarantee Big Lots can ever get out of bankruptcy, Nexus has agreed in principle to buy what is left from Big Lots, if anything. Then Nexus says this new company will be called Billy's Bargain Bazar. Now your union has to negotiate with the new company. You try to push them around and they announce that they are closing half of the remaining stores, now your union membership is cut in half. You People are on a sinking ship, you must accept that. Go out and get another job.
You were Loyal to Big Lots all these years and you thought they were going to take care of you. WAKE UP, YOUR LOYALTY IS TO YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY. Big Lots doesn't give a Rat's A-s about you and as for Mr. Bruce, CEO, HE DOESN'T CARE IF YOU LIVE OR DIE. You can go out and get another job and tell Big Lots Shove it OR YOU CAN STAY ON THE TITANIC, UNIONIZE THE CREW AS YOU SINK TO BOTTOM OF THE ATLANTIC.

We have a long road ahead, I promise we are working diligently to shorten that road.

We plan to launch soon and have enough signatures to union the stores by January 25 or sooner company wide.

For this to work, it must hold COMPANY wide. That's where WE will have the most voice.

Working night and day since the ch11 announcement.

Together today we are reading this, time is Now.

What is the union dues? To be transparent we will start at $1 a week. $2 biweekly for Sm's.

Your representatives will hold voting powers after the union is in place.

Well do what's best for YOU, your family's and each associate out there running frieght, leading the stores and checking customer out at the front.

We want this to be the most inclusive Store Location union available in retail. Together we can make other retailers stronger.

Pension funds are being looked at!

We have so many of our associates that have given their lives to the company. How do they retire? How does the company give back?

Giving 5.2 mil to those fat cats sitting at a table worth more than your yearly salary! That How they gave back! We need to Rally! Now!

We say NO more we will get funds for associates to retire happily!

Together the union WILL SAVE the company!

We will have an associate council involved from each state to represent you!

This union will be Big Lots specific! You'll have a voice!
