Got laid off in July.
I submitted my severance paperwork a week ago, which got rejected. The reason being that my official termination date is Sept 16 while my department last work day was 8/30.
Is the idea then that the severance signage is due after the 16th?
And have/when do people get a box in the mail to send back equipment that was order for WFH?
The expectation is that you sign and email your severance letter on your last day of employment according to your letter. Your actual last day and the date on your severance letter may not coincide. Optum will send boxes for laptop and phone a week close to your actual last day of employment.
Well don’t be confused. Probably cause you can get an answer faster here than at that highly organized company that we all work for. Just like many of the customers and providers can’t get anyone to answer the phone or takes them days to ask a question I would assume HR is just as poor.
I'm confused at why you are posting on here. You need to call and ask HR, not ask and wait 10 business days. Uhg employee center will give you the answer, if they don't know, they will reach out to your previous manager.
