Thread regarding Commscope Inc. layoffs

Life gets better after Commscope

For years I was stuck on the layoff Merry-go-round, always wondering, anxiously, when the axe would fall. Layoff after layoff I felt the anxiety build and build until the relief settled in when I found out I remained standing, but I never felt secure. It was as if the Sword of Damocles constantly hung over my head. Eventually the day came when it happened, my number came up. Friends I'm here to tell you that I've crossed the river Jordan and the grass is really greener on the other side! I feel so much relief that I'm in the position where I no longer need to worry about the next quarterly results, no longer need to worry about corporate debt, or ebitda. No more fireside chats with Chuck 'n' Tingle where your frustrations and grievences are disregarded, invalidated. Friends your efforts are not appreciated, you are a debt on an opex spreadsheet, nothing more. I want to invite you all to jump off, leave, start looking for another job. You'll be so glad you did when you've finally moved on and found a new position, maybe a new career, cause despite the stock price, the ship is still sinking.

Leaders love to scare you away from leaving the company and say things like “The grass isn’t always greener” and “you’ll be at risk of getting laid off if you’re new so you’re better off sticking it out here.” Well I’m here to tell you guys the grass is almost always going to be greener and constant layoffs and reorgs are NOT NORMAL. Commscope is so toxic! Needing CFO approval invoicing is insane. The cost control environment is NOT NORMAL!

Do yourself a favor and start looking elsewhere, vamp is your resume and use your network. The job market it tough right now but I promise life is better outside of the toxic culture and work environment there.
