The change to accrual base doesn't take place until fiscal year 2026 (October 2025).

Considering I literally lead a meeting about this yesterday. And I'm looking at the PowerPoint of it as we speak. Maybe you were told the wrong information.

Again you don’t know what you’re talking about. You accrue both

You don't lose any vacation hours. You get ALL OF YOUR VACATION HOURS STARTING EVERY FISCAL YEAR. You only accure your flex time. Maybe actually work your full shifts and stop being a lazy a$$.

No it does change. It benefits the company. It takes 52 weeks to fully accrue. You lose the flexibility to take vacation when you want to as you have to accrue it first. You can’t depend on having it when you need it. . Before if you were laid off etc you were paid out your vacation. Now if you're laid off , lose your job etc you’re only paid out what you have already accrued. Only get 38 hours in a week, you don’t fully accrue all your hours. Get sent home early on a slow day to “cut hours”, you don’t accrue. You can’t make that accrual up. You just don’t know what you’re talking about.

To OP. Nothing changes. Actually you get more PTO starting at year 11 with four weeks, previously it was 16. Also you can use any PTO by the hour. Why are you so salty?
