These days, it’s always stressful and feels toxic. They don’t seem to care about their employees at all. Weekdays, weekends, day or night—you’re expected to be available 24/7. Forget about enjoying your time off because you’ll probably get hit with calls or emails, and they expect you to respond. It’s just not a good environment to work in.

My RSU's say differently
No, they don’t care at all. Countless weekends and hardly a thank you.
Zzzzzzz....
who's working 24-7? you haven't learned the art of rest and vest.
The Federal government maybe
Yes, those smaller “governments” can go F themselves, useless to the tiny hock man. Go cry him a river.
BC is dismembering the eyes, hands, feet, arms, legs and head of VMware. The only body part they care about preserving is the digestive system.
The biggest customers are governments.
You would be surprised. The Federal government maybe. But small cities are as broke as any company. Last month a customer told me they got hit with a 50% increase in cost, and they will not be renewing. Not that Hock give a dam, but moving from VMW to whatever is going to cost them (and the taxpayers) who knows how much?
The biggest customers are governments. They aren’t “agile” and they print money. Perfect.
D-mb customers will stick on while most of the employees leave. The customers who are hanging on have no choice. The employees who are sticking on have no choice. So it is a race to the bottom with the customers and the employees in a tight bear hug while they sink to the bottom of the ocean. This is the PE play book. Drive the company into the ground and extract the money by loading the company with debt and bankrupt it.
Hock doesn’t want those shïtty customers.
All going to plan.
Wake up and smell the PE playbook
More than half of VMware customers are reportedly looking to move following recent unrest:

That behavior is only possible because of people like you—those who continue to answer work calls during their time off. Why wouldn’t they take advantage of you if you're available for free, 24/7? If someone offers you something for free, why wouldn't you accept it? And as often happens, when people get something for free, they tend to have less respect for it than when they have to pay for it. So, if you want things to change, you must be the one to initiate it. Change your behavior, change your job, or simply accept the situation.
Many people have left and continue to leave. Some hang on for the sake of money, others cherish their peace of mind and mental health. It is a personal decision, and you alone bear the consequences. Lastly, everyone already knows Broadcom is lousy place to work, so no surprises there. So what are you gonna do about your situation?
Things have changed for the worse
No shǐt, Sherlock
Don't let the door hit you on your way out!
So.... don't respond. Turn off your laptop and block their number.
The sc-m of the earth will win the hunger games. They will end up alone and with cancer but with all the RSUs. This is the way.
There is a degree of self selection. Only those who will throw their teams under the bus and survive the hunger games will get all the RSUs. So, buckle up. Pull yourself up by your socks and fight on. You may win if you can out run your friends. Oh. Take no hostages.
I love my RSUs.
I'm sorry for being so direct, but if you didn't see this coming then you've been living in a fantasy world. You are working for a soulless company. What did you think it was going to feel like?
Hope you're enjoying those RSUs.
This is the way!
HT told two options once 1) Agree with disagree, then work
- disagree with disagree, the door is open
