We can forget about initially planned headcount reduction numbers. Intel is now well beyond being able to correct course by simple cost-cutting measures. Accumulated bad decisions and management, apparent lack of oversight and responsibility, all brought us to this point where Intel started to unravel. It’s too late for a simple fix. In other words, start looking for another job if you haven’t already.

Replace the word "Intel" by "USA" and everything sounds just right.
