Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Chandler AZ V/ISP numbers?

Anyone know what specifically the chandler plant is looking like for VSP and ISP for engineering? (Not OC Fab, but the CH site)

Everyone I know seems to think they are 100% insulated from this layoff at that location…

Wonder why Chandler Campus would be sheltered from reductions?

Depends on the organization. Some groups in ATTD are going to get nailed. Depends on what Fearless Leader thinks of you.

No, they aren't insulated - some groups at CH are but some aren't. The CH-SPTD group was one of the 1st to swing the ax. The 1st wave of VSP had a departure date of 7/31. Now the Enhanced retirement wave will be next to go end of Sept., then ISP begins early October. Over 100 engineers and techs have already left/leaving so maybe ISP won't be too bloody? A few of the higher level SPTD managers were retired a few months ago. Ann hired Choon "The Cleaner" to come in and sanatize SPTD and that's what he's been doing.

I heard engineers under Phil’s org will have minimum ISP due to the amount of people that have taken VSP and ER.Maybe there will be be (and should be) targeted ISP to get rid of some dead weight.

I heard the same. The numbers I've seen as far as techs go we are basically at the proper headcount. I haven't heard much for exempts

I heard Ch pretty much hit our numbers with voluntary, involuntary would be minimal. But who knows until it happens
