ShareFile acquisition - layoffs temp check

Hey everyone,

With the recent news of Progress Software Corp. acquiring ShareFile, I’m curious about what this means for ShareFile employees, especially those in engineering roles. The acquisition is expected to close by the end of November 2024, and while Progress is expanding its digital experience portfolio with this deal, I'm concerned about potential layoffs or restructuring once the deal is finalized.

Does anyone have insights or thoughts on whether engineering teams at ShareFile might be impacted? Do you see any indications of layoffs or major changes once Progress takes over?

Appreciate any info or rumors you might have heard!

Current Citrix CSG employee here. Though updating this thread would shed light, I have plenty of friends at ShareFile that were impacted by the Sharefile restructuring, I believe most executives expected this and hoped to avoid it.

HOWEVER, selling SF at half the asking price should've been a clear warning layoffs were coming to recover taking a massive "L" for the sale.

@ljsz+1ushXXvg subsequent acquisitions have happened without such layoffs.
