Another inspirational Coffee Talk from our leader

Yes I know. He’s honest, no BS. But inspirational? The word does not apply. In fact, I’d say the opposite.Maybe if you are an accountant.

— "Software is just air..maybe some line of code, but it's just air..."

Still scratching my head on this one...

In this regard Hock’s analogy is id--tic. All the money in the market and his portfolio are “just air” as well.

The old man is just doing what his PE masters ask him to do. He is good enough to run these legacy businesses. He has perfected the dog and pony show over many many years. Its just a chinese company along with appl and tsla and tsmc. Just survive the hunger games and you will be fine. The chinese deep state will take care of you.

There are some franchises that seem to be in a dumpster fire for a long time. This whole tough old man look is getting a bit boring. All talk no action. He said he is cutting on the semi side too. There are so many franchises under the line of doom. Way way in the abyss.

The coffee talk has a pattern like he says. He always starts with a story of how sc--wwwd up semi business is. It is hugely cyclical with huge peaks and deep ravines. Many seem to be stuck in a ravine forever. Then he has the AI story which he admits is a scam and will go away in not too distant future.

The cult is so enchanted by each word. Are you joining the cult or not? Have those RSUs converted you into the cult? Its just easy to join the cult and go with the flow.

RTO is the equivalent of a military parade in Kim Il-sung Square for our glorious leader.

Hock and his handler goons want you to see him in all this glory and bow down before the omniscient one, blessed be he.

At least 50% of Broadcom are remote, whether this wrinkly old grape likes it or not.

The rest of world has embraced remote.

Get over it already, my god it's boring.

The high caste leaders have secretly recorded the coffee talks and feverishly practicing word for word what Hock said. So, wait for a few more inspirational talks. What a joke life has become.

Gross margins for our semiconductor solutions segment were approximately 67%, down 370 basis points year on year, driven primarily by a higher mix of custom AI accelerators. Operating expenses increased 4% year on year to 868 million on increased investment in R&D, resulting in semiconductor operating margins of 55%.

Gross margin for infrastructure software were 88% in the quarter and operating expenses were 1.5 billion in the quarter, resulting in infrastructure software operating margin of 60%. Excluding transition costs, operating margin was 64%.

Looks like hardware business has a lot of people to design hardware and on top of that they need to pay a ton of money to TSMC to make the chips. TSMC is a fab monopoly. Hock as usual plays with the numbers and GAAP and non-GAAP numbers and margins to just gaslight everyone.

"But inspirational? The word does not apply".
I'll take this than bull S from PG, RR and Kit. These smart a-s talked as if they knew the industry. Misled us until old Chinese man bought us! They valued us at less than what true value is. The old execs should be shamed as they were preparing us for sales so they could get the golden handshake. Pure evil.

We are just in the 4th innings here. 5 more innings to go. Will be 2000 employees by mid next year. Work hard and get fired. And don't sell your stocks in this bubble. Keep them till you get fired and after the crash you can keep them as they go to zero. Think about the long term.

Massive facepalm at whoever asked if we had EPIC Christmas week off...

Seriously. It's been almost a year. Have you not yet realized that we are no longer VMware? You're making us all VMware people look like id--ts.

Wake up shareholders, you need to tell HT to stop spending money on maintaining physical office space and to stop trying to force people into that office space to shore it up. Get rid of that commercial real estate that isn't going to recover any time soon. Save the company billions by diverting payment for building, electric, water, sanitation, and taxes to the workforce itself at their homes. HT, you are creating offices full of people that are on Zoom calls to other people in offices on Zoom calls because this is a new world where people work at distance and all over the planet, and they do so more productively than the slackers hanging out hiding in conference rooms, break rooms, or standing around at the water cooler and gossiping about you. Ain't nobody got time for that because remote workers are more productive away from the slackers and have project deadlines to meet!
