Will anybody be losing his or her job this month? Should we worry or not?

Severance, that's laughable.
Package = 2 weeks notice, followed by a swift kick in the as_ + 3 month's severance......
IT employees can help themselves in the long run by being flexible.
This sounds like something Captain Obvious would say, and it is...but keep in mind that all IT service companies (including Kyndryl and IBM before it) are just fancy employment agencies. They classify all staff by various job codes (coder, help desk, architect, project manager, etc.), and they often don't go much farther than that when deciding which employees stay and which ones go.
So for example...you may be the most talented coder in the world...so good that you could easily switch over to other jobs within the same project or the same engagement. But if Kyndryl doesn't have an immediate need for "coders", then you'll get canned no matter what your skillset is.
There's no easy answer to this problem, except that one should try to be as flexible as possible. Taking on other roles may not be your preference (because coders tend to really like their jobs) , but being flexible can help you survive when times are tough.
US, Canada, Eastern Europe have been seeing reductions in large groups. Still some parts of Eastern Europe are growing or stable depending on country/market.
Jobs are being shifted to India, South America, and external vendors.
European markets also get smaller and smaller. From long time there are gossips that some delivery centers are about to be closed down. Lots of people on bench
Not sure about other geos, but the US is being whittled away in wave after wave. They're not even waiting for the last wave to leave before announcing the next.
I'm hearing a lot of rumors flying around. I usually, in the past would just tune out the noise. This time some of the worry is justified. This company is backsliding financially. It is not where it should be this many years into its market debut. I am starting to see an up tick in the amount of persons being benched. Also seeing a lot of persons exiting the door. The persons that can leave for better pastures' have already exited.
I am on bench since aug 16 and still no project, waiting for 2 weeks separation notice anytime. As per mgr, next separation list will be published end of sept. does anyone know if Kyndryl is paying any severance package and is it mandatory to stay 2 weeks after HR separation notice?
I am hearing procurement is in the crosshairs again.
How could there not be major layoffs coming? There is no new business coming in!
Workforce reduction is ongoing at Kyndryl. Your mindset should be that it's always a possibility and you should assume no particular month but rather a rolling basis.
Yes, worry this company is not as stable as one would think.
I've heard some rumors, but nothing concrete, that's why I'm asking.
