Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

Nielsen Voice Survey

Is this survey a joke? Recommending Nielsen as a good place to work? Strong customer focus? Confidence in the future of Nielsen? Too bad I’ll be gone by the time survey results are shared …if they ever are. Ratings Likely will be in the toilet

Those “anonymous” surveys are tracked based on your IP location. They know who spoke their mind once you submit it and they can verify it if you’re a field employee by your company cell phone location. Managers are always get the count as to how many of their employees haven’t done there’s yet! So as anonymous as they try to play it, they are full of it. If you want to make a statement, it’s better not filling it out.

LOL, this company is a sinking ship. The only capability of the Global Capability Centers is driving the final nail in the coffin for this thing.

I can no longer remain silent about the alarming direction this company is taking. The rapid shift of jobs to Global Capability Centers in Mexico, Poland, and India—while laying off dedicated employees in other countries—is not just a strategy for cost-cutting; it’s a blatant disregard for the people who have built this company from the ground up.

The speed and manner in which these layoffs are happening show a complete lack of respect for the employees. We’re witnessing colleagues being let go without proper acknowledgment of their contributions, all while new hires are brought in elsewhere without considering the wealth of experience being lost. This isn’t just about numbers on a balance sheet; it’s about people’s lives and livelihoods.

If leadership doesn’t halt this course of action, the consequences will be dire. Morale is plummeting, trust in leadership is eroding, and the quality of our work will inevitably suffer. You can’t expect to maintain a strong company foundation when you’re constantly removing its key pillars.

We need leadership that values its people, that understands the importance of experience and loyalty, and that makes decisions with transparency and respect. It’s time to speak up and demand that our voices be heard before it’s too late.

There's nothing better to do than read innovative bootlicking by sycophants.

On the FR Monthly with Josh, I can't believe his answer to why they got rid of FR ONLY and "Best time to contact" was to "improve panelist experience". That has the opposite effect they think will happen. I have homes that work 8pm to 4am, I have homes that are teachers, doctors, bus drivers. But sure, let's get rid of the notes that mention those best call times and just call them every day for a month at times they work, until they lose it and tell us they want out, and make that count against the FR because it's their problem and their fault for causing this issue.

Improve panelist experience my a-s. Decision after decision is being made with absolutely zero care for panelists, FRs, MRs, etc. And not enough people are speaking up to complain, and so the ones that do are deemed "outlying complainers", because then it appears as if most people are actually content. In private, there are so many FRs and MRs that hate these upcoming decisions, but refuse to speak up because of backlash from management, or because these decisions are already made without any input from the people who have to carry out these new procedures.

The Voice Survey won't change anything. It's only to make them appear as if they care. Because in the end, money means everything. If it means bringing your employees' quality of life at work down to a minimum, then so be it. Money means everything. If they can lay off a bunch of people in the U.S. and send those jobs to other countries, then so be it. Money means everything. The legal team is telling management the minimum they should be doing to avoid lawsuits. Money means everything. We are just an expendable flock of sheep. Don't like the new changes? Just quit or wait until you're laid off. They'll find a new flock of sheep to replace the outgoing hard-workers that've been here for 10+ years. And when that flock realizes what's happening after 5 years, they'll get laid off or quit, and they'll hire a new flock. Wash, rinse, repeat.

And the new incentive plan? How much do you wanna bet it's going to average it all out, so that the worst performing FRs get a higher bonus and the highest performing FRs get a lower bonus? Money means everything.

One day the FR position will be like $18-20 per hour, no company car for personal usage, no holiday parties, no outings. Wake up, clock in, work 9am to 9pm, come home. Monday through Friday. Sure you'll get overtime, but is it worth it? The Field Rep and Membership Rep positions are dying out.

Don't stick out as an employee. Stay under the radar. Get your paychecks, look for another job in the meantime. And wait for the next round of layoffs.

A company once worth working for in the early 2000s has now become a company worth leaving in due time.

I hope there's management reading these posts that can truly see through the veil like we do, and make our opinions ACTUALLY matter and make us ACTUALLY feel heard, before it's too late and they lose the best of the best.

Read the room. Clueless humans. How can leadership not be completely, utterly embarrassed to actually put it out???!!!

Well I was brutally honest. Time to find out if they fire people for what they write in an "anonymous survey."

They are testing whatever is left. I'm sure there are hundreds that will give them a thumbs up. That's the environment we are operating today, one of opportunism and deceive.
