BEMIDJI - As its enrollment rebounds, reductions in faculty and programs still prove necessary at Bemidji State University.
Coinciding with the kick-off of the 2024-2025 school year, 14 faculty members received notices of their terminations once the school year wraps up next spring.
Such news comes after continued revenue loss credited to decreased enrollment since 2017. In auditing its budget for the 2023 fiscal year, BSU was tasked with addressing an $11 million deficit.
