Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

RTO 2.0

Part of DELL cuts is "RTO 2.0" which is designed to make people quit without having to pay them. leaders meet in cork tomorrow to hear the new policy - basically if you are close to an office go hybrid or get a new job

After 2.0 you can expect 2.1 and 2.2 and 2.3 until dell achieves it's on-site number.

they only thing dell is afraid of is a union, you don't matter compared to the number

Put that up against being in a field role where your customers are halfway across the country, and so are your account team members. What's the value in being in the office, again? Get way more done in a quiet home office than a noisy office environment with transient half-cubes.

I think it is not strange at all to ask people to come to the office 1 or 2 times in a week if they do not have travel plans or customer meetings…

Basically telling leaders that Michael Dell wants people to show that they’re CHOOSING to go to the office by basically making leaders force people to go hybrid

Can't discriminate against remote employees in Ireland, it's the law

What they could say again I suppose is that remote people are at the mercy of dell planning processes

How will they achieve "get a new job"? Not so easy in Ireland to mandate that
