Sure, there are other bad ones out there, but I have never worked for a company as terrible as Cisco.
It su-ks that the job market is not great right now, but when it turns around make sure not buy into their lies. Get out whenever, however you can. You future self, will thank you.

Yup. I came back. Knowing that I could be LR'd at any time, but would get a great severance package (again), was way better than working at some smaller tech company ( anyone who thinks the job market isn't great right now is part of the problem...
TikTok seems to be full of videos of people talking about how bad the job market out there is. Even people whose job is to help people find jobs talk about how bad the interview process is out there, how companies need/want to have 20+ interviews, have you do projects as examples of your work, and then simply ghost you because they hired some internal hire (converted a contractor).

For engineering, even in the best hiring markets, it's still hard to find those unicorn companies where you can both apply all you know while growing quickly. Once you've experienced that it's hard to work in any other kind of environment.
Get your jollies by going to the cancer ward at your local children's hospital and insult the kids who have lost their hair. I'm sure you will enjoy it psychopath.
