For those not for Ireland, we have laws here on redundancy. Any company wanting to redundancy >30 employees need to hold 30 day consultation process, no one can be let go during the 30 days. Also statutory redundancy payments 2 weeks per year of service plus extra week capped at €600 per week and tax free. Plus the extra weeks Intel currently 5 weeks per year of service and all capped at 2 years

DM,s & AM,s will email/notify applicants who are not getting VSP on 14th September.
Successful VSP applicants will be notified on 16th September.
October 11th last day . You will get Payment in lieu of notice in same pay run as final pay and severance.

Such rubbish comments, nothing has started yet and nothing has been announced.
The rejections start on Saturday, approvals by email next Monday.

Everything else is speculation.

I heard they are blocking VSP request in the majority for Ireland as they are too expensive, better for Intel if a new buyer does the cuts on a far cheaper package when foundry is sold off. Ireland will be decimated on a foundry sale. The sites just too expensive and you can run foundry in the west, when will they learn

Not surprised heard majority of departments are flat out blocking all VSP requests, especially techs - unsure why company offered VSP in Ireland as the workforce is old with vast majority of ER hitting Pats 15%

True VSP oversubscribed is the reason why - a small targeted no package ISP will follow according to a well placed source - targeting MT population - makes sense

They can’t afford the total amount of packaged for all who signed up. With ISP they don’t have to give any packages.
