What if there is no public announcement and no publicly visible changes to the strategy or the management after next weeks board meeting? Will the stock stay where it is or will it drop further?

Sadly, there was no announcement. The board is useless
I suspect that there will be more planned leaks out of the board discussion this week. The stock will continue to flounder and may hit new lows around $15. no official decision is likely to be announced this week. The crazy CEO will continue to be in office for now at least. next major development will be mid October at Q3 earnings. Stock may drop below $15 because Q3 earnings are going to be worse than Q2. The board would be forced to act and fire Pat at that point.
This is a very thoughtful question. From the recent news on the possible restructuring plan, there seems to be too little to be meaningful.

Stock will go up. All semi gone has dropped 10-15% last week, due to market, Nvidia lost more than intel is worth in 1 day.
Intel stock is below the books (~$26). If this stock gonna stay like it for next 1-2Q someone will buy it out - NVIDIA/AVGO for IP.
This board has totally no knowledge how good/bad things are in intel.
