Let's spend the $ to keep the landscaping in tip top shape at the expense of employees' jobs. Who cares about their suffering and family welfare as long as they can keep a great view from an office building not many care to go to?

They didnt repave anything. Just fixed a few bad spots and sealed the rest. Maintenance. They have washed the windows like every year I have been there.

Just to set the record straight on IBM - they sold their campus to Brandywine a few years after they sold off the separate property to Schwab. They've been leasing their reduced space there for several years now. The new IBM property at the Domain will be a company-owned building. Seems like a bad idea in this real estate market, but the key here is that they are not a leading indicator that Schwab is trying to sell. IBM has in fact done the exact opposite.

Nothing is happening to Austin. Too many big names are based there.
IBM announced this week that they are moving from their current offices (adjacent to the Schwab campus in Austin) across the street to the Domain. Essentially, going from owning their offices to leasing a building. Wouldn’t be surprising if Schwab does something similar.
Most likely if they do sell, it’d be a lease initiation to reduce the cost of ownership to Schwab. Lots of companies sell there properties and lease them back to save money.
It’s called maintenance and your teeth could use it.
At least part of it. If you are building in Westlake and India, do you need all that space in Austin? Robot Rick wouldn't miss a downsizing opportunity. Plus, it's a bit too weird for Schwab.
