Chesapeake got the message and will be changing their name to escape the stigma of failure. Leave it to dvn to be the last one out at the dance.
What about changing the name to West Continental Resources? That might generate get some conversation going and finally have the old hog put to sleep.
The other idea would be to change the name to Newerfield to reflect the history of much of the leadership.
