Word is LM (HBMC) will be dismantled by January 2025 with many non-clinical roles being absorbed through shared services overseas. Fee for service will maintain but in a more lean fashion. Make sure you have at least 40 hours of PTO as only 40 hours are paid out.

"Word is..." from whom/where...?
You want to know who else knows that LM is dead with funeral pending? BCBS. Your check says Optum. Your email says Optum. Some are there to fulfill obligation to BCBS which contracted for the rather robust services LM provided. Not the skeleton services provided now. Think about what LM offered before and what it offers now. Why would any entity pay the same $$ for much less provided? NCM and providers will be retained. Really, any other position is redundant like management. Ask yourself, has your leadership been able to tell you anything for months now? Do you start to ask a question then realize there is no point because they do not have info? Redundant positions are needed for now but not much longer. Any hiring now is highly suspect as its more an attempt by market leaders to save themselves. If you are below retained patients for your market ( say 11,000 instead of 16,000) its really too late to get those new hires to run the numbers up in 3 months. Find a new job, wait for severance and unemployment. Don’t choose to just hope.
I believe they mean navihealth as well.
Yeah, if you're a nurse, you'll probably be okay. You might get absorbed into a housecalls role. UHG would rather be the hospital, PCP office, ASC, etc. than pay anyone else to handle those services.
Can you comment on where this "word" is coming from? Is it truly a reliable source?
It would be helpful in these posts to determine where "word is" is coming from. We have all seen that LM has been dismantled frankly there is not much left. So what are you hearing exactly, will clinical positions be absorbed,,etc. Thank you
So what will happen to the clinical team?
Will Optum keep the in-field providers? Have you heard anything about that?
