Well when SM himself said October it's not really "supposed", but fact. I don't know what you expect? Would Some sort of list of names pinned up in the foyer identifying who got rif keep you happy?
It'll be Halloween to keep the tradition of letting people go on this date as a reminder of their death at Teradata but new found freedom from the enslavement of a dead company.

They told us it will be 10%. That’s pretty definite.
My guess is the week of the 23rd will be it.
