Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

Bye Bye WFH

Greg has been wanting to get rid of work from
home since taking over. Now it appears he has succeeded for the most part. An email should be coming out announcing the end of Wednesdays….the reason Next 75 for course. Expect it sometime next week. Once again employees are viewed as “lazy and useless”.

Well if people are supposed to be in the office Monday Tuesday and Thursday and they aren’t showing up for those days then at this very moment they could be fired for cause with that kind of logic. We will see how it all works out or if this even comes to fruition.

Those who wont complay with coming in when they have to will be let go for a cause ( no following company policy) I want to see that happen for real though... as agree I was coming in as told now loosing my WFH for liars and not complying employees.

Moral is already extremely low, especially in Ontario. If they take this away this will be the straw that breaks the camels back.

Sadly this is only going to impact the employees that follow the company policy and come into the office. It will make no difference to those that already don't come in and use excuses like I live too far away, I have child care, elder care, anxiety, and even though I came in before COVID days, I 'm not capable anymore.

Pretty sad if this is true! Maybe they should have addressed the employees not following the policy and never coming in. Is changing WFH to 4 days a week going to make a difference for those that already don't come in?

When field employees get injured on the job and need a few days off, Enbridge likes to give them a laptop and make them do a couple of online courses a day and call it "working from home".
Take that away and The Big E is going to see those LTI numbers rise faster than his dip stick at a goat farm. 🐐

I don’t know how much I believe this. A lot of supervisors told me they don’t track badge swipes or office attendance. I’ve gotten the vibe they don’t care much where people work. I know people who work 100% from home. I have heard, however attendance on the work from office days may start being enforced more.

WFH is a big recruiting and retention tool. I hope not for the company’s sake.

So what, they are just leaving WFH Friday? That makes no sense. What is the source.
