Layoffs are here. September, more will be let go and before end of year. Hearing September 13th would be a big day, some are experiencing layoffs this week as a precursor. Less packages and pips to go around for coming end of year performance review to not gives bonuses.

For the past 7 yeas I’ve heard either the last quarter or the first of next year, every single year. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it does not.
Heard october for intermittent layoffs
@6atz+1umlKXHk Sorry to hear that you were laid off without even any kind words or anything form your team. I hope your next employer appreciates you more than this place
on top of trolls... 90% here you are so dum% you do t know what's the difference between layoffs and termination. Termination happens everyday. Layoffs occurs when multiple terminations are made in short defined time. Stop talking about things you don't know.
I was let go yesterday, zero notice at all and not a single colleague said goodbye, good luck, or anything else. I was let go at 4:30pm and worked until 6pm, without a single thanks for my contributions which they are rolling out across the firm and continue to use. I am in awe of how this occurred; I was completely blindsided.
I'm in HR. There are no layoffs going on right now.
PS - HR could not care less what is posted on this site. I haven't been here in months, but I do check in occasionally for entertainment purposes.
I was laid off and had found another role they were itching to do it ironically If they hadn't I was quitting 2 days later. I was lucky they were so proud to lay me off. I have had to avoid talking to people who I worked with for years they don't know I started a new job awhile ago. They will when I update my linked in.
I am beginning to almost wish I get selected for RIF in the next wave of layoffs. My role within citigroup is directly related to one of the Consent Orders recently lifted by a US regulator. Already I am seeing preparations to remove some of the procedures I helped put in place in order to comply with that regulator. From my perspective Citigroup is going right back to its old ways quickly after one of regulators eased up. Culture at a citigroup hasn't changed, returning to our old ways of pretending to care about regulatory compliance. Saddest part is that I believed management, that my work was to a change.
you can sleep in on monday
I saw some LinkedIn updates indicating people left unexpectedly. Who leaves with 75% year over and bonus nor paid out unless you got on other side?
There are rumblings of layoffs here and there. Managers calling employees. You notice not much work to go around or being out sourced. Probably decent chop come after Thanksgiving then again Jan before bonus time.
california probably, doo doo state to do biz in
Citi's global employee sentiment survey is going out next week -- you think they'd hold layoffs then? Or even make an announcement during that window like they did last year?
On Operations is all quiet, a lot of work keeps being outsourced to India but nothing to see here.
Layoffs happened Wed 9/4
Even if it could be a troll post, I do believe from today until the end of the year, there will be passive layoffs.

Where did you hear the September 13 from? Your a-s?
I’m numb to it all. It means nothing to me now.
