Rumor is the union is asking for 25-35% pay increases or a large cash bonus +$25,000 per employee at the start of the UAW contract negotiations. Flight hours are down 8000 hours fleet wide. I suspect there will be a strike. Conditions are softening.

what does the UAW have to do with it???
That's an absurd ask. The union is compromised of old heads who don't care about anyone but themselves, and young g-ns who don't have a choice.
