Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

Why is Mike Berry leaving?

Seems like long notice. Staying on until May 25, 2025 unless a new CFO identified before.

Wouldn’t you retire if you had tens of millions? You’re not a smart cookie are you. 🍪

and the overlap with the new CFO is not uncommon. When the previous CFO, Ron Pasek, announced his retirement in Feb 2020

Ron Pasek, EVP, Chief Financial Officer, has informed NetApp of his intent to retire by the end of the fiscal year after a successful four-year tenure. Pasek will remain on to ensure a transition to his successor, which the Company expects to name prior to the end of the fiscal year.

Berry's hire was announced in Mar 2020 and he started Mar 16, 2020 so how long Berry stays on is probably mostly a function of when the new hire starts.
