Thread regarding 2U Inc. layoffs

The business can't promote...

Just learned about two promotions at the director level in our org while a good number of us got passed over for two cycles because the business couldnt manage it.

For everyone complaining that DEI ruined 2U, take a look at WHO is getting promoted and see if that's true (unless white women count as DEI in which case...)

I'm beyond disheartened and deflated. What a sick joke this all has become.

Anyone that's gotten a promotion recently is because they got another job offer. That's the only way supervisors have been able to get promotions approved in the last several months.

I blame the main stream media and the stock market for ‘Price Gaging' for the low price stock for TWOU. I bet Chipotle, Google and Facebook are super high, because they are paying the stock markets for more better numbers and news on their companies, hence the high stock price. Maybe Chop, I mean Chip stopped paying for better results.

there was never a hiring or promotion freeze, even if you omit the ridiculous bonuses and promos in leadership. just look at linkedin. much of my chain of management has received at least one promotion since chip was fired. i shared this before and got swarmed by the paul simps, 2U heavily favors straight white men for promotions. leadership is aware of this. any new DEI efforts will be incidental as the workforce is offshored to ZA
