Thread regarding Optum layoffs

April, July...is October next....

Following the pattern of recent layoffs are we looking at another RIF in October? If so has anyone heard ANYTHING about who/what will be affected?? Any intel is appreciated, and negative comments discouraged.

HCC coding was only to reflect the actual need for care-- the point was not to simply code and provide no care. Congress needs to completely re-do or eliminate MA . Period.

I'm a July RIF victim with Landmark. I accepted a position that was a resurrection of the provider engagement specialist role (which was eliminated in April), halfway didn't even want the job. Anyway--

How does V28 impact other non-clinical roles w/ Landmark and should I keep my resume fresh?

My spidey senses tell me yes. Thanks.

So the point really isnt to keep seniors healthier in a SNF or home it's just yo find HCC codes???

Yeah, the fall will be a blood bath, they've only been messaging the Medicare V28 for almost 2 years and it goes into effect in January. Landmark is already being dismantled bit by bit and IESNP's national roll out was a crash and burn.

October /Nov will be HUGE, due to the V28.
Watch out: Landmark, IESNP, ISNP, Housecalls, all those markets that aren't Fee for services.

Weirdly have not head anything , but the feel is that all of landmark by the end of the year? Could be wrong though, not much more to cut from that team.
