September layoffs

There prob won't be any layoffs in sept but even if there are, it's likely to be in the 1-2% range

Know of people being informed of layoff earlier this week. Same team and division also impacted in August.

Well this is simply your opinion and not based in reality. I saw similar posts last round in August that the layoffs would be 1-2% and they laid off 12,500 people in a week. Stop spreading misinformation

"Over the last year, we’ve also been hard at work reimagining our own company for the Age of AI. We’re becoming smarter, faster and stronger as a company. The decisions we’re making and the actions we’re taking are not done lightly. They impact our teams and people’s lives. But we're doing the necessary hard work now to future-proof our company and to ensure customer success and long-term value for all our stakeholders. The constant in our business is change, and the pace of change keeps getting faster. So, we are making bold decisions and we’re moving quickly..."

The morale in my group is horrible. My senior director told me that he feels he's probably next.
I get asked weekly from people on my team what I'm hearing in the office.
Everybody is fearful for their jobs.
It comes up every team meeting and we all know that if things go down my manager isn't the one that's going to know about it.
And even if she did she couldn't tell us.

"Morale is very high in lots of groups"

I am sure of that. A lot of nay-sayers here will deny this obvious fact.
Go big or go home!

Many folks on here seem to favour all the negative comments. A severe case of sour grapes perhaps? 🤔

Staying positive won’t save your job either. At this point we’re all just at the mercy of higher ups and whether or not those above us have sufficiently kissed Jeff’s a-s over the years.

There’s a lot to be negative about, especially the never ending layoffs. They could have gotten it over with so work can carry on. Instead they want to drag it out and create a culture of fear so they can save a few bucks on severance. The side effect though is most people are not working and certainly not helpful when you inevitably need something. If they even have enough staff left to help. Game of thrones does that to people.
