Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

New contract raise

Once the union gets the 40% pay increase I will be making $70 an hour as a forklift driver. I spend most of my day on facebook on my phone. Nice way to earn a living. Thanks Boeing.

You're doing good man. I make $25 an hour as an electrical engineer. There are guys out there flipping burgers who make what I make. Really regret going to college.

some of you need to learn math. 40% raise on a grade 11 job is 70 an hour not 90

I will be making $90 an hour once we get the contract agreement, love that the union is doing this for us. Bring on the strike.

Im with you Bro I make $75 an hour for doing nothing all day. Bring on the strike and all the goodness the union will get us. Hardest part of my day is getting out of bed in the morning. Boeing is literally paying most of us for just clocking in everyday.

Well we can be like the longshoreman, work for a lot of cash and buy your own insurance.

Works well for those guys

Sure you will...until Boeing folds and all you clowns and monkeys get kicked to the homeless shoulder of I5 where you can work on your graffiti.

It's Labor Day weekend with a strike looming in a couple weeks. I am all for Capitalism and Free Enterprise but there must be a balance. It's perfectly normal for a company to make a profit but not at the expense of exploiting its workforce.

We need a huge layoff.

Look at the money the C suites make. Nobody seems to complain about them living the lavish style and doing next to nothing but public relations. The people posting negatives about our raise are jealous because they have no numbers to fight for anything.

Once you get that 40% raise, the union would’ve gave up more benefits to trade it off like they did with the pension years ago. Maybe medical this time. And Boeing will even the playing field to not lose money by a massive layoff.
