I was laid off, with the explicit reason being my status as a hybrid/remote worker. Our Senior Manager returned to the office a month ago and has done little since, yet last week, our entire team was laid off. Now, this same Senior Manager is overseeing no one.

But does it really surprise you that you were laid off as a hybrid worker> Everyone knows that status means you only work a few hours a week and get paid fulltime. Some Hybrid and work from home people brag about it. I have always come to the office 5 and sometimes 6 days a week and I feel great about that, would not have it any other way
They are already giving concessions to certain managers who can continue to work hybrid, which means you will NEVER see them in the office.
I think the manager is threatening you. Dont give the manager your passwords or any of your 'how to do' notes. Reporting him to HR is no good. HR is there to protect the company.
My manager told me that I’ll be let go for refusing to coming back to office. But we’ll see what happens.
So they didnt give you an opportunity to come in to keep your job?
They would rather let go of their team to save their own jobs.
These senior managers are useless, and no offense to anyone, but it seems like people get d-mber as they climb the ladder.
Useless failures in management are well protected at Raytheon.
I thought those days were over but apparently not. They still protect these managers and find or create useless positions for them while letting others go. I know of a few cases where this has happened. These guys make the most money so where is the cost savings?
