Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Pat Gelsinger is burning Intel to the ground…

With 3 years going to almost 4, the state of Intel is very grim. The new node technology is not yielding well, we lack customers, and the current product lineup su-ks. Yes, BK was terrible with his absolute lack of vision and by conjuring ACT, yes BS only knew about bean counting and kept the stock price high by blowing the money on stock buybacks, yes PSO blew a tremendous opportunity in mobile and INTC could’ve been in the iPhone… but fast forward to Pat Gelsinger: over promised and under delivered, got the company in tremendous debt, missed the AI train, dismissed the competition (life style company and got lucky bunch of mo--ns - wait, what?), failed to read the room (during times of high interest yield and high inflation, INTC to spend money like a drunken sailor?), etc… This mess is on Pat Gelsinger and he needs to resign now.

Who else believes Pat will be shown the door by Q1 2025?

Not only has Pat over-promised and under-delivered - he was greatly rewarded with a 45% raise for his efforts. Who here has walked in to Focal and received a 45% raise after missing every single goal set the previous year????

We know this all along. He is finally doing something now. That is a plus. Intel needs a chainsaw treatment. The timing is good because the Biden admin is totally impotent now and is unlikely to make any trouble. So let's see.

@hnx AMD is in the rear view mirror because Intel is headed the WRONG way on the highway

The board needs to clean house and start from scratch. The investors have lost enough and no longer have confidence in the current leadership. This is a disgrace given the US Chips Act funding of a company that does not have competitive products to build on US soil. TSMC has products to build in the Arizona fab. Intel has nothing.
