Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Usually, it would be sad to watch a company fail in real-time

However, since this is Intel, which has been treating its employees like cr-p for decades, I'm just sitting back and enjoying the show. Bring on the fail!

@1uil+1uhjuV9r Those PE are not capable to do productive work, meeting is the only one they can do. Layoff needs to cut them first which saves more money.

as others said - Intel had a great culture, and still has a pretty good one. There seems to be a lot of FUDDers in this forum. Either that or people who have an axe to grind.

Some G10 Principal Engineers in SATG are just not worth being at that level. All they do is attend each and every meeting and keep saying how busy they are. Is it the same across all BUs ?

Yes I WAS a great place to work, 100% until Bk. And even a bit after him even though we all knew something was wrong. It wasn’t until Pat and CP until it became unbearable. IMO.

@oay+1u...., Many grade 9 should make to grade 10 or above, many grade 10 or above did not deserve that grade. From grade 9 you need to learn the company politics to move up, they call it 'leadership'.

I agree w/@oay+1u.... - Intel (was) is a great company, paid me fairly, promoted me when I deserved, treated me very well. I respect the institution that gave much to me and allowed me to contribute and thrive.

Everyone loves a train wreck. 😂

As for treating employees like cr-p - All's I can say is my experience with FLM+2 in my time here has been great. I have been treated well and with respect. Raises su-k, but that is a corporate thing.

Then I talk to folks in other BU's and their FLM+2 are the exact opposite. Ridden hard and put away wet.

There is quite the divergence from group to group.

I wasn’t treated like cr-p at all, I made it grade 9 and made 250k plus per year to wfh.
