This week our store has received 3 trucks. Two of the processed trucks are sitting on the on the dock because the SMM is doing "other stuff." If we do not get the new merchandise on the floor for the Labor Day weekend we will lose sales. Everybody needs to be on the same page. What stuff could he be doing?

Management are youngsters. Monkey see monkey do.
Management needs to supervise all the youngsters they are hiring who lean on the cash register all day waiting to ring up a sale.
The youngsters need to be told that cell phones are not allowed on the selling floor and to stop wasting time and accomplish something during their shift.
How can the signing crew do the merching??? no wonder the floor looks a mess...whoever does the merching should know how to read a VMD and should not be setting up the ad, because they need to focus on merchandising properly instead of rushing everything to the floor.
Why is no one picking up those 6-9pm shifts?
The joke at my store is that the VM doesn't even know how to read the VMD or know how to work a scanner to at least know where the merchandise belongs.
Too much work and too little time and not enough workers...Managers try to make us regular folk work like robots..but no can do, we just come in to collect a paycheck. If you want us regular folk to work harder...Get lazy managers and captains to set an example first. Get your captains to train the associates thoroughly instead of just letting them wander around the floor and disappear on breaks whenever they want. There is no supervising on the floor whatsoever...that's my two cents.
There are only certain people in my store that we trust in putting out merchandise the RIGHT WAY. So much for the everyone is supposed to do everything bull@#!*. That has NEVER happened. Now we'll hire a bunch of dim bulbs for Christmas who won't know how to follow any direction at all. Same old story. We 2 newer Captains in our store who have no idea what they are doing but it just gets pushed aside. I guess as long as there is a warm body in those positions it okay.
Everyone is tired and burned out.
Why is the dock captain not pushing the stock to the floor or sales captains/mgrs coming to get their stuff? The people who do our signing also do our merching, along with the captains and CSX managers.
