What about Pat's hire of Lavendar. That is one of the biggest mistakes. I heard he was CTO in VMware with max of 200 people reporting to him. Here Pat gave him software, IT, OCTO and so much. That guy does not know how to run a large team. His decisions were so money wasting with acquiring pricey VMware team on blockchain and delivered nothing. He built a PMO empire and then now they are saying that we are overgrown and wasting money. I can keep going on and on.
Bringing Pann back and then putting him in charge of Foundry were mega warning sirens.
I used to work for HP when Christoph was still there. He didn't do s*t. He called himself, "Chief Commercial Officer", whatever the hll that means. It's probably the reason he left. It was the most bogus job title.
This is a second-order question. The first question is how incompetent is the board for hiring Pat in the first place?
Dave is incompetent. Period.
Oh don't forget that he hired MJ, the sales lady, to lead a technical giant BU. What was he thinking?
I'm going to disagree. I think Pat used excellent judgement in hiring them. If his goal was to soak the company for millions, then leave with a sweet exit package along with all his friends, this is exactly what he should've done. Now if you say it was bad judgement assuming his goal was ever to save the company, I agree 100%.
