Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Re-Org

I am hearing their is restructuring going on in broadcom and shifting people to different roles. Can anyone confirm if that is indeed true and what options are available?

This is literally one of the most obvious non-employee posts I've ever seen. You don't even try to hide it. "I hear business is going on in your company. Can you tell me what?"

You realize Broadcom isn't just Broadcom. It's 20+ units. Each is their own company.

You take the job or get fired. Pretty easy to figure out.

“If you get laid off at this point, you only have yourself to blame. The writing has been on the wall for quite some time.”

Exactly. For example the long tenure UK ex-VMware folk who think they are covered by employment law protection does not cover for re-orgs.

Same old story, if you’re offered a package take it because they’re going get you sooner than later

Option 1: Take new position.
Option 2: GTFO.
This is the way!

Yes it’s a good way to get rid of the stupid VMW folk who stayed on,

Like the stupid Symantec and CA people that came before VMware.

Same playbook over and over again.

Yes it’s a good way to get rid of the stupid VMW folk who stayed on, which will save BRCM a ton of money when the 1 year mark passes post acquisition and redundancy terms all change. Re-org enables them to get around all the restrictions in EU. Sorry guys you messed up staying on. Recommend re Skilling and get CV out NOW

I’m being told to move to a different team/role despite having a contract which states my current role. So BC can’t even keep their word in writing. No paychange no option for severance no nothing just hey you are working as X from now on. Absolute bull

SAMs being let go

Oh if only this were true! I had a SAM earlier this week email me and cc my boss to let me know that the customer had emailed me. He forwarded me the email that I had already responded to!

CEMs..whatever they are are being drafted into the SAM team despite SAMs being left go….. a paid offering being let go to allow a non paid offering made up job replace…. Sounds like favourites being made safe….

No, it's not true. There's no reorg.

Oh! one more re-org. There was one biiiig re-org before the acquisition. One biiiig re-org after the acquisition. One more? Its about time. A few teams will be traded between the high caste leaders like kids trading baseball cards. The highest caste leader keeps the slightly lower caste leaders guessing. I guess they all keep themselves busy. Nothing much changes.

High caste leaders throwing darts on boards to figure out the next re-org? Or who to fire? They seem to be running out of darts. Hock is cutting back on darts budget.

Get those economically challenged under age girls. Do anything for getting into the pedo club. Hock still has the juice.

He is 73 or 74, not even he himself is sure. - When he will retire and enjoy life ? May be he gets enjoyment by bullying customers, partners , employees and terminating employees.

In the eastern part of the world, at 70's people will start visiting religious places and enjoy time with grand kids. He is a weirdo for sure. May be he is expecting Presidential award for his service...clown.

See the difference between Nvidia founder's life and King Hock's life. King Hock's built his Ponzi empire only with shady deals and aquiring + dooming companies in the name of capitalism. He should be ashamed of himself for his misdeeds. Karma will definitely catch up with him sooner or later.

In King Hock's regime, you should be even ready to flip burgers, concierge and doorman at vmware offices. That is the new norm. As long as you have RSUs, shut up and work.
