Layoffs are definitely going to happen. Why should anyone go through this stress wondering when it will happen? It is very unhealthy. So sooner the better.

You never hope for layoffs. What is wrong with you? Clearly you aren't one of the people who gets things done. You do plan for them constantly though. Management can freak out on you at any time, so do that. But don't hope for layoffs unless a bag of chips, and couch, and unemployment is your aspiration.
No layoffs coming. Company is in a growth phase. Very slight chance of hiring freeze, but that is unlikely given the work we have to do.
If they protect FnF the company will go out of business sooner than later. How long can they protect FnF? FnF will have to dance with the butcher once the good folks leave. It is not worth working for such a losing company. Start the layoffs and let this be settled.
Let's be clear, in a layoff, FnF are not the ones selected. The brightest are let go with FnF protected.
What a sh---y thing to say. Why would you say you hope layoffs start soon when we are aware that FnF are protected?
OP, I agree. This company is fu---d up. Strangely it is still functioning.
