You my friend have summarized it well. Pump that stock and pull it.

We were told for decades that we had to cut costs so as to be able to compete with China and Airbus. In reality, this was largely a ploy to keep Wallstreet happy, raise stock price and enrich nepo executives at the expense of maintaining a strong engineering company actually capable of competing with them. Boeing started the process of eliminating engineering in 1994 and has still not changed course.
History has shown that only two companies can dominate in the commercial airplane marketplace. Given how subsidized Airbus and COMAC are, it seems inevitable that they will be the future duopoly.
The poor performance you see from Boeing now is the best you will see until Boeing finally throws in the towel. More likely than not, there will be more airplane crashes resulting from Boeing incompetence or gross negligence again.
