Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Whatever is happening to Intel is well deserved. Thoughts?

BK started this mess in 2015 with the ACT and you now see the results.

Got ACTed and CRPed. Took the second as a blessing and never looked back. Take what you can from the experience. Intel as a whole was great to it's employees. Distinct leadership causes ripples and waves. I wish the corporation and it's employees all the best. Remember my whiteboard. Stay strong and never waiver. There is always a brighter chapter to be written. Take care.

@1tvp, Same here my friend. It's been 9 years since ACT but there is a not a week that goes by that I don't have Intel nightmare. If they only knew how the decision they make effect employees long term. This is not something you can get over in a couple weeks75. I am much better now. I have a secure job and no work stress whatsoever. I think I will live longer now. Wish all the effected employees well. Take care of yourselves.

Down with Intel ELT.

I echo what you said as I myself went through ISP under similar circumstances. Never will I forgive Intel. It caused me mental anguish and quite a long time to recover from it. You may wonder why I am posting here. I wanted to see if anything has changed. It has rapidly declined and it is well-deserved for Intel. I never looked back to the industry and found myself what I wanted to do on my own and I am happier not being in the wretched hole. For all of you out there, please find yourself something that will take you beyond the confines of the dead ends and find your lifeline. Life is much more meaningful.

It is certainly well deserved for the leadership, as they're the ones who were asleep at the wheel for decades, and then woke up only to steer straight into the rocks. The employees don't deserve it. They put in their best with a company that promised results, only to find they were rowers on that ship headed into the rocks.

BK was a disaster and he was having an affair. Prior to being crowned as CEO, he was heading global procurement org. He was disaster and he set Intel’s present predicament- it’s the curse of past employees whose lives were played with. All good ones made their exit during his time.

It started with PaulO missing multiple trends and cashing in on favors from Microsoft and Dell to slow down AMD.

I was ISP'ed in ACT because I got SSL5, even though I had solved a big problem our team PE did not have clue. Boss didn't give me deserved shares so that the other one could get more. That made me join AMD.

If you think Intel’s downturn was solely due to the 2015 ACT or started there, you were obviously not paying enough attention to what was really happening. The poor decisions and inefficient management that got the company where it is now started well before then.

I was ISP'ed in 2015 because I had two SSL4 the last 3 years but always successful or exceeded. They freaking walked me out because they said my salary was already high and I would not get a lot of shares and then turned around and fired me because they had not given me enough shares. I never forgive Intel, NEVER. Here I am almost 10 year later and reminding folks what kind of $hit hole they work for.

I personally witness the best and brightest TOP engineers get walked out in 2016 - You know why? Because they were in grade too long.....I mean..WTF kind of system is this? They immediately got another job at a competitor...Yes..it DOES serve Intel right...
