MP was asked about layoffs/RIF and she completely deflected and didn’t answer the question (gave a padded canned response). So that’s basically a “yes” to me. The real question is how many will be let go.

I’m not a people leader and I’m leading more people as an “interim” than my leadership who only leads me….yet I am responsible for 4 others and their work product.
It’s got me leaning out the door that’s for sure since the temporary “prove yourself for 3 months” has just turned into “we’re not backfilling your managers role and this is the new norm”
They mysteriously pulled nearly 6k job postings in the last week. Place is running on fumes and the numbers aren't getting better, trust me on that. It's just a matter of time before the dividend is cut and then you're going to see real pain.

What she really means: “Leadership is knowing when to lean on others to the point where you’ve pushed them out the front gate of 1 CVS”
@PizzaParty any idea if CVS retail corporate will be impacted? I was taken aback that she said they "didn't have specifics" about a $2b expense reduction shared on an earnings call.
Not sure how many times I feel I need to post this…… 5,000+ layoffs starting first week of October. Almost all will be from the Aetna Healthcare side. I would guess that Karen Ly--h is taking her cling-on, I mean husband on another luxury vacation like last year when she cut thousands. You can bet she’s not taking Laurie Havanic or Dave Falkowski. I hear from the reliable grapevine that he will be gone soon.
Heard similarly worded non-answers answers from VPs and SVPs in the DDAT world which either means that they themselves have no idea what that enterprise efficiency group will recommend or there is nothing in the pipeline for layoffs. I’m not counting RTO triggered terminations here. That may come separately.
That's the 3 D's of a corporate response, to a question they don't want to answer. Deny, Deflect, and Distract. Typical CVS response. Anything to hide the truth. MP needs to join the list of execs getting the boot, if she's not gonna be transparent about things.
