Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Jen Fe--h out

JC just sent an email saying shes decided to leave. Is that true or was she forced out? Things must be really bad if she left on her own....too bad, i really like her.

While I am unable to divulge specific names, I can confidently affirm that individuals situated only a few tiers below JC within the company's hierarchy resigned from their positions and subsequently returned, with this occurring just over two years ago. When high-level personnel voluntarily depart, it often signals a fundamental discord with the company's strategic direction. Drawing from past experiences, we might infer that such actions could be indicative of brewing, unprecedented challenges within the organization. While it is beyond my purview to speculate on the company's future trajectory, it is worth noting that what is perceived as advantageous for the corporation as a whole may not necessarily align with the best interests of the broader employee base. This disconnection between corporate strategy and employee welfare is a matter of deep concern, especially in times of significant organizational shifts. That being said we should be prepared for unprecedented cataclysmic changes in a vertical restructuration without affecting much of the horizontal organization, and we wil be left once again with an overabundance of leadership and a scarcity of those who carry out the essential work.

You must have a vested interest to feel collateral damage at L4 and the above. Will they have any feeling if you are on the WFR?

Her email referenced stepping away from corporate life. Could this be a personal decision?

It was getting harder to Justify DS as a President once tech support was pushed into the product groups.. DS will be bad for Dell Digital he is the ultimate yes man

DEI was never a factor at Dell. It's another attempt for lazy, no-skill, low intelligence employees to deflect blame away from themselves and their incompetent leaders and again(happens so frequently in the USA) try to blame Black people who were never hired in the first place and never worked at dell.

It's shocking how much the human brain is capable of yet the masses refuse to use their brain.

While services is forced to use DD instead of innovate.

What are you smoking? Services innovate? You mean blow through a stack of cash on cloud and vendor? And will prod into existence with no maturity?

Some are praising JF, all I know is Dell Digital is horribly bureaucratic and inefficient. Millions of dollars spent for years to get nothing useful. While services is forced to use DD instead of innovate. I wonder if this will now change?

Dell doesn’t need a CIO, Jeff has that covered. He knows it all.

Why would anyone leave such a kush job?

They're always forced out. It was just missing a line that she left to spend more time with her family.

@rmi+1ucywufu some of you are way too hung up on DEI.

Forced DEI isn't our greatest strength. Hiring the right person, who has the skills and abilities needed to do the job for the right price, irrespective of their skin color, gender, or who they like to bang is the way to grow.

IIRC, the first Dell DEI training came out in ~2002. Nothing has changed in the last 22 years but we've sure spent a ton of money on these programs and hiring people to tick a box

DEI initiatives aren't important to stockholders any more. Jeff could finally fire her without pushback or people calling him out for having almost no women at the executive level.
