Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Morale

I wonder what morale was like at NVDIA and AMD when they were in the sh----r. Being at the bottom is what it usually takes to come up with something new/revolutionary. Question is whether Intel leadership has what it takes to come back. Remember, this cr-p is usually a cycle. The ones on top now will get fat and bloated just like us.

Let me summarize the picture:

Socrates (AMD) - "To be is to do"

Jean-Paul Sartre (NVIDIA) - "To do is to be"

Frank Sinatra (Intel) - "Do be do be doooo!"

And whatever talent was left is leaving (or wanting to leave but can’t afford it)

Except for Microsoft.
They’re always on top.

You'd need talent in order to recover, and Intel has no talent......

A big difference is that there is a very real possibility that Intel won't recover from this. This isn't usually a cycle. A few companies occasionally come back but the vast majority go out of business. Intel has shown no signs of making the changes necessary to recover. The same bad leaders are following the same flawed plans just with less people.
