@ggc+1ucJadPV I'm afraid you are mistaken. My eng org was hit in August but other eng orgs were not, they will be the next target likely in September whereas we will likely escape.
With Jen now leaving the company, there is gonna be a lot of shuffling in her org. Guarantee that some layoffs come out from there

the engineering layoffs are over, they happened at the same time in early august as sales
If you plan on retirement or are near. Do not. They are counting on you retiring so they don't have to pay out severance.
stay on, quiet quit
and let them pay you out.
Dell is a clumsy fumbling organisation. You people keep thinking they are surgical.
Here's why cuts done through out year
- optics to the general public
- lack of resources to process ie low HR personnel
- hope for natural attrition in-between rounds
- waiting on how low stock price goes post earnings
expects cuts in every dept until the employee population is reduced to 90k in the next few months.
That makes no sense though, why would they do a big round in August and drip feed the rest
Every month there will be cuts through March.
