What is the truth, are engineering going to be hit

Does anyone actually know the truth ?

Weren't engineering hit in early August , I know of some affected

@ggc+1ucJadPV I'm afraid you are mistaken. My eng org was hit in August but other eng orgs were not, they will be the next target likely in September whereas we will likely escape.

If you plan on retirement or are near. Do not. They are counting on you retiring so they don't have to pay out severance.

Dell is a clumsy fumbling organisation. You people keep thinking they are surgical.
Here's why cuts done through out year

  1. optics to the general public
  2. lack of resources to process ie low HR personnel
  3. hope for natural attrition in-between rounds
  4. waiting on how low stock price goes post earnings
