under the pretense of job elimination
Sad DEI teams fail to even pretend to protect this legally protected group.
it's an issue, especially when companies operate in other countries with more favorable employee practices
I strongly agree that it’s a real problem in our industry. I think when companies engage in actively letting go of their senior employees, they also ki-l long standing industry relationships, indispensable knowledge and general good old fashioned know how (not to mention losing archival files).
I’ve seen time and time again the consequences of this as well as moving around key individuals within the company. It usually results in doing more harm than the money they save by replacing these folks with newbies who don’t have a clue and bring little value.
