Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Initial estimate on ESP and VSP ?

Are there any estimates on how many accepted ESP or VSP ?

@kxp Those of us who’ve saved enough are done with this dumpster fire. But do carry on.

Latest is all MT’s are being blocked by the tool automatically , acceptance is only for high grade eng and managers, this will ensure max cost saving. High grade MT also blocked as focus is to keep all MT working on tools (critical skills) to match competitor benchmarking

I heard speculation about Israel backfilling but it wouldn't provide much cost savings when a place needs to be rented, car needs to be hired and whatever other expenses they get. I don't see that happening, but you never know.

Israel will backfill sites that are over so US and Ireland sites will cull 35% min

Similar to the morale thread, the situation is now: “thanks for having a set of incredibly difficult discussions with your family on taking VSP, and although you showed the courage to let us know that you’re willing to leave… we ain’t gonna let that happen right now… but rest assured, your name is now on a new ‘list’…”

In my group of 25, more than 1/3rd took ERP or CPM. All applicants will be accepted. No exception. Intel will more than reach its reduction goal. But at the expense of debilitating talent drain.

I hear Ireland is way over subscribed and Israel is way under subbed. How are the American sites looking?

We've been told today that 41% of our mfg/eng group signed up.
9% are ER the remaining 32% are VSP applications.

Most area's have similar numbers here in F24

At this point I can't imagine CP caring about anything. She doesn't have the brains to say that to start with and then to realize what she said

The best way to do ISP is just don’t renew 18000 h1b, they will leave without severance and they can not do any litigation also. All win situation for Intel, that’s how all h1b gang structures did mental also

Intel is the number one offender in age discrimination. Just google it. They used it against me as well. They have hired most of the labor lawyers around Intel campuses. Not one will take your case. Ask me how I know.

CP put herself and the company in a very bad position with that comment. If the ISP is not done very carefully, Intel will be facing a class-action suite for age discrimination.

Even if not all ER eligible took the ESP I am guessing a high number of them will be ISPd. Didn't CP say there are 15K around the company?

My wildest guess: 1%-2% took the ER/VSP and the rest will have to be ISP. Who in their right mind volunteers to give up their livelihood. I know what my wife would say. NOPE.
