Thread regarding Northwestern Mutual layoffs

End of 2024 layoffs

Is this true?

Confirmed, our leadership has shared a net deduction of 4-7 percent of staff (employee/contractors) starting near the end of 2024. Less assets mean less support. Invest in the new areas outsource operations is what we are being told.

rolling fte headcount reductions were in all IT budgets heading into the year. this shouldn't be a surprise. the game at mother is to simply extract as much as possible before they come for you and you have to work again.

Departments that are likely to be affected, such as those whose assets are being deprecated, are being briefed. Some at the M3 level only, some at the M2.

This was previously posted & had more comments. I don't want to start a conspiracy theory here but it appears that NM posts magically disappear.
